Letter To You

Hi Beauties!

My name is Yvonne Latoya Rahming, though my family and friends call me Toya (yes, that’s my middle name for all the curious minds:-). I’m passionate about butterflies, hot coffee, make-up, skincare, and everything beauty-related. Let me share a little more about my journey.

I was the proud owner and practitioner of SCULPTED, a non-surgical body sculpting studio in Freeport, Grand Bahama. There, I had the privilege of meeting incredible women and being part of their transformation journeys. Although SCULPTED closed in February 2023, the dream simply evolved.

Before stepping into esthetics, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations & Affairs from Bethune-Cookman University in 2006. I then spent 14 years in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands, working as an Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. My career allowed me to travel across the US and Eastern Caribbean, advocating for compliance in areas such as anti-money laundering, human trafficking prevention, counter-terrorism financing, and consumer fraud awareness.

In 2021, I decided to follow my teenage dream of becoming an esthetician. I dusted off my sandy flip-flops, packed my suitcase, and trained intensively in Florida to transform into a Body Sculpting Magician, Skincare Guru, and Hair Removal Goddess. By the end of that year, I returned home to Grand Bahama as a graduate of the Florida Academy of Medical Esthetics, holding diplomas as a Facial Specialist and Florida State Licensed Electrologist/Laser Hair Removal Technician.

In 2026, I joined the Bahamas Technical & Vocational Institute (BTVI) Freeport Campus as an Adjunct Instructor in the Beauty Trades Department. Inspired by my experiences, I rebranded my vision into SKIN RITUAL, a space dedicated to delivering safe, effective and results driven skin care treatments tailored to the unique needs of both women and men, with special care for women managing Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). Alongside this, I am currently pursuing my MBA in Organizational Leadership at DeVry University, further strengthening my ability to lead, teach, and grow within the beauty industry.

Now back in my native paradise of Freeport, I’m excited to share my passion, expertise, and industry knowledge with you. I look forward to meeting you in person and helping you achieve your beauty and cosmetic goals in the treatment room. If you’d like more in-depth training, you can register for one of my classes at BTVI.

Besos,

Yvonne “Toya” Rahming
